SimCorp Ltd. terms and conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to training services offered by SimCorp Ltd. (“SimCorp”) to its clients.
Description of services
SimCorp offers training courses to its clients. All training courses that may be offered are described in a UK client training synopses document, which may be updated from time to time ("Synopsis"). The Synopsis and the current UK Course Calendar are available on request from uk.training@simcorp.com.
Training is offered as daily course sessions ("Training Days") which can be purchased in advance and allocated across any of the courses offered in the UK Course Calendar.
Not all courses in the Synopsis have scheduled dates. Should there be requests from clients such that a total of 5 or more people wish to attend any such unscheduled course, SimCorp will endeavour to schedule that course in the UK Course Calendar. Participants can only sign up for an entire course and cannot choose to sit particular sessions or days.
SimCorp Ltd. also offer bespoke training courses in addition to the standard courses. Please contact uk.training@simcorp.com to discuss specific content and terms.
Places will be booked on a “first-come-first served” basis and SimCorp reserves the right to bar any participant from entry to its training courses.
Description of a standard day of training:
-
One Training Day is 8 hours long, consisting of 7 hours training and one hour for lunch*.
-
A Training Day will usually start at 9am and finish at 5pm and be conducted at SimCorp's premises at SimCorp Ltd, 100 Wood Street, London, EC2V 7AN*.
-
Training will be conducted by one or more SimCorp training consultants.
-
Training materials (e.g. slide printouts, rough paper, etc.) and lunch will be provided on the day by SimCorp.
* This format is used for the majority of courses, however, exceptions and how they are to be treated, are described in the Synopsis.
Overall Time schedule
All Training Days purchased are to be used within the current calendar year. Should any remain unused at the end of this period, SimCorp retains the right to retain payment. SimCorp may decide to allow the client to carry over some or all unused Training Days beyond this period. SimCorp will at its sole discretion make this decision on a case by case basis.
Fees
The price of a Training Day for all courses in the UK Course Calendar is £750 per person per day.
SimCorp offers a volume discount for days purchased in advance and in bulk (“Advanced Purchases”). SimCorp offers: a 10% discount for 15 or more days purchased (£675/person/day); and a 20% discount for 30 or more days purchased (£600/person/day). Any discount that may be applied to Advanced Purchases will apply only to training purchased in any single transaction and not to cumulative purchases. It will apply to all Training Days purchased: for example, if 20 days are purchased in one transaction, the cost would be: 20*750*0.9=£13,500.
Training purchased other than as Advanced Purchases are defined as “Individual Purchases".
The client will be invoiced for payment for Training Days directly after an order is received by SimCorp. Payment by the client is due immediately upon receipt of invoice. Prospective course participants may not be admitted to the course if payment has not been received for that course prior to its commencement. In the event that payment for training delivered is not received by SimCorp, the client shall also pay interest on the outstanding amount, from the due date until the date of actual payment, at a yearly rate equivalent to four per cent (4 %) above the Base Rate for the time being of LloydsTSB Bank Plc (or its successor in title).
Where an Advanced Purchase has been made, full payment for all purchased days must be received by SimCorp prior to commencement of the first day's training.
Expenses may be charged to the client for courses held, at the request of the client, in a location other than SimCorp’s training facility in London. Such expenses will be charged at the rate set out in the Consultancy Agreement that exists between SimCorp and the client.
The fees listed above do not include VAT or any other applicable fees, taxes or duties.
Cancellation Policy
If a client wishes to cancel participation in a course, notice of cancellation will be accepted by SimCorp by email, fax or letter.
Fees for Individual Purchases will be refunded in full should notice be received by SimCorp more than one calendar month prior to the start of the course.
If a client cancels participation on a course booked as part of an Advanced Purchase, associated Training Days will be recognised as unused.
For cancellations received with less than a months’ notice, the course fees will be forfeited.
Should an intended course participant be unable to attend a course, it is possible to send a substitute in their place provided SimCorp has received written notice (by email, fax or letter) at least 1 day prior to the course start date.
SimCorp reserves the right to cancel courses at its discretion. This will only be done if the number of participants is too low to make the course viable or other unforeseen circumstances arise. In the event of a course cancellation by SimCorp, fees will be refunded to clients who have made an Individual Purchase of the course, and Training Days will be recognised as unused for clients who have made an Advanced Purchase.
