The position

We are looking for an experienced Senior Service Delivery Consultant specialized in Oracle database management, to join our highly specialized operations team, in supporting the technical demands of our clients.

We service some of the largest organizations in the global financial sector, in the daily operation of their SimCorp Dimension® installation and strive to deliver first-class services utilizing SimCorp's as-a-service operational framework – based upon ITIL.

You will be part of our global operational support team that engages daily with our clients in handling the operation of SimCorp Dimension® interfaces, service platform and environments including monitoring and the management of file systems, operating systems, and virtual machines. As part of your working week, you will participate in a 24/7 duty scheme, hence your flexibility is important.

Besides joining the support line, you will also be involved in exciting and future-oriented projects from transitioning new clients to enabling new automated tools.

THE TEAM:

You will join our North American Operation team in Toronto, that is affiliated in our growing market unit in North America. The market unit currently consists of 150 highly dedicated and engaged colleagues in a diverse and international environment.

Together with our global Operation team, you will have a great opportunity to influence and impact our further journey towards delivering excellent customer-centric support globally.

Key responsibilities

  • Daily operations and problem-solving for technology platforms, including monitoring (OEM) and troubleshooting in;
    • Middleware and interfacing
    • Operating Systems
    • File Systems
    • 3rd party software and its configuration
    • Database
  • Job scheduling and management using an enterprise scheduler
  • SimCorp Dimension® technical customer support
  • Client requirements analysis for the technology platform
  • Participating in our after-hours support rotation

Your qualifications

Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with the following experience and competencies:

  • Familiarity in working with large hosting providers and global clients.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and other internal colleagues.
  • Comfortable and resilient working in a dynamic environment that can be stressful from time to time
  • Operational experience with mission-critical software
  • Cross-functional team player with the ability to communicate, work with solutions in unison with Client, Sales, Product Management, Implementation, and Account Management teams. 
  • ITIL experience/certification

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Operational experience with mission-critical software
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager
  • Experience with Oracle database management, including performance tuning, Data Modeling, SQL server, Database management, High-Availability (HA), RMAN catalog, Data warehouse, Database sizing.
  • Experience delivering technical managed services
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Experience working with customers in an international environment
  • Windows MS Server knowledge
  • ITIL experience
  • Knowledge in working with cloud services like AWS or Azure is preferred
