DevOps Engineer, Graduate

You contribute to an Agile team

As our new DevOps Engineer, you'll join SimCorp's Product Division, in the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE). Here, you'll become part of a cross functional Scrum Team transforming how the CCOE provides software services used to develop and test our product, SimCorp Dimension.

The role will be focused on reengineering our on premise systems and services onto rock-solid infrastructure in the Microsoft Azure cloud. You will be part of a team who will take ownership of this transformation, with responsibility for extending, delivering, and stability & quality of your services. The team will also develop new applications and services in a cloud native model as our needs change.

We will work according to everything-as-code principle, which means eliminating all manual steps in the software development lifecycle. Automatic provisioning, scaling, deployment, and testing.

You will work in close cooperation with your colleagues across SimCorp.

We use multiple technologies, and ideally you'll have had some exposure to

  • Azure (or other major cloud provider)
  • Knowledge of ARM templates, Terraform, or other infrastructure as code tool
  • PowerShell and Azure CLI
  • Microsoft IT Infrastructure
  • Programming - C#, Javascript, Python, Java, etc

And perhaps the following

  • Monitoring cloud services
  • Using or building containers and related tools including Kubernetes
  • Experience with Automation tooling such as tools like ansible or chef
  • Understands networking fundamentals, especially in the cloud

You will be constantly learning and developing yourself, the team and our solutions.


You're passionate about technology

To become a success in SimCorp's Product Division, you probably have a degree or higher within Computer Science, or a similar field. To this, added practical experience with the technologies would be a bonus.

A strong desire to learn automation tools and techniques, working knowledge of the Microsoft IT stack, and familiarity with operating cloud services, such as monitoring and backup/recovery, are hallmarks of a successful candidate.
