SimCorp Group IT is looking for an experienced IT Operations Manager, who can play a key role in leading and executing the SimCorp IT Operation for future growth.
SimCorp Group IT is looking for an experienced IT Operations Manager, who have the drive and execution power to lead the SimCorp IT Operations and be an excellent people manager. The IT Operations Manager is a newly created position in our IT Service & Operations Department, consisting of 2 teams; IT Service Desk and IT Operations. You will be responsible for running the IT Operations team, including People Management, IT operations and 3rd line support and be Product Owner for IT Operations, following our Agile way of working.
The IT Operations team is responsible for delivering the IT to SimCorp that is not Cloud based. This includes, several Datacenters, IT in all SimCorp offices globally, including network, telephony, collaborations tools, HW and SW deployments. We are supporting the SimCorp processes in; Security Operations, Delivery of SimCorp Dimension for presales and training, Supporting the client facing support units and much more. The team consist of 7 experienced and skilled IT technicians, whereas 5 is placed in Copenhagen, 1 in Vienna and 1 in Toronto.
You will be the main driver of our IT Operations, from daily activities to longer term planning, architecture and design based on agreed strategies and technical roadmap. This is handled through the Product Owner responsibility where you will be responsible for managing the teams backlog, following our agile processes. Some experience in work agile is therefore preferred.
We are looking for a self-starter with experience in IT Management and IT Operations, who thrives in a busy and exciting environment. You have a sense for keeping focus on achieving the goal, have strong execution and coordination skills and the ability to communicate easily with stakeholders, business units, IT users and vendors.
In Group IT we are 50 employees, responsible for delivering, installing, maintaining and supporting SimCorps internal IT infrastructure, platforms and business applications. In the IT Service & Operations department, we are 25 colleagues split into in 2 teams, placed in 9 SimCorp offices globally. You will therefore have a close cooperation with stakeholders working in another office or time zone.

People management for IT Operations department
Product Owner for IT Operations, managing team backlog.
Developing and executing on roadmaps, new IT solutions and IT projects in corporation with other IT teams and IT management.
Vendor management and IT Operations budgets
Managing prioritization and urgent requirements, liaising with stakeholders.
Act as a strong sparring partner with stakeholders, team and senior management
Experience in leading IT Operations department or larger IT programs, preferably within an international IT company.
Experience in people management, and preferably with virtual and remote leadership across time-zones
Strong execution power and drive to deliver on agreed strategies and roadmaps, this includes to drive architecture forum and future IT setup.
Relevant IT technical background with degree or certifications.
Experience in working as Product Owner in an agile environment is preferred.
Experience in communicating with vendors, business units and users, across offices, countries and time-zones. Strong collaboration skills across multiple levels and functions.
Fluency in both spoken and written English is a requirement including strong presentation and teaching skills including technical areas
