Application Support Consultant - Investment Management Software

About Our Team

You will be part of our Global Customer Support organization of 100 dedicated Customer Support Consultants and Developers. Our responsibility is to provide high-quality support to over 200 SimCorp clients for their SimCorp Dimension platform. In this important role, you are mentored to work with our clients and provide business support and solutions to increase their usage of our systems.

Part of your introduction will be ‘hands-on’ in our software system during the three-week SimCorp Dimension® Academy. 


Your responsibilities 

  • Handle customer inquiries regarding the functionality of SimCorp Dimension with our clients, independently or together with colleagues 

  • Ensure that SimCorp lives up to its obligations and Service Level Agreements (SLA) as well as concerning feedback on the inquiries and the quality of this feedback 

  • Analyze issues that occur in SimCorp Dimension in production at our clients and create convincing solutions in close cooperation with our developers and experts around the world 

  • Also, be able to give our customers good advice and propose ad-hoc solutions within the framework of SimCorp Dimension 

  • Be a specialist in one of our business domains in the core of the system. Recurring topics are financial instruments, their pricing and valuation, performance and risk as well as middle and back-office operations incl. accounting. Training will be provided over time as needed. 

  • Advise our clients on-site on an irregular basis or may be involved in ad-hoc client projects 

  • Contribute to the daily operations of the relevant business domain (Support Line), monitor and act on opportunities to increase the quality and service levels of your team 

Your qualifications 

  • 2+ years of relevant working experience 

  • Degree in finance, economics, mathematics, computer science, or another relevant field 

  • Negotiation skills and ability to find compromises with different stakeholders in SimCorp or with the client 

  • Good at prioritizing and working on multiple tasks at the same time 

  • Knowledge or high interest in financial topics - theoretical and practical 

  • Experience in the financial sector regarding middle and back-office operations would be an advantage, but not mandatory 

  • Service-minded and enjoy working in a virtual and global team environment 

  • Affinity towards and experience dealing with multiple cultures would be an advantage 

  • Fluent in English and good German skills (applies only for employment in Germany)
