The Position

We are seeking a Head of GTM Strategy to head up a global team responsible for driving our overall go-to-market strategy towards SimCorp’s total addressable market. You will be reporting into the CCO but working closely with local Sales, Consulting and Offer Management to drive the strategic direction of our go-to-market effort attraction new prospects to the SimCorp’s client base.

Within the role you’ll be working to drive alignment across SimCorp on the market opportunity, operating environment and our competitive positioning. Ensuring our value propositions are tailored to best address each industry/sub segment.

We are looking for a natural leader who can continue to develop the team ultimately aiding SimCorp’s commercial and product organizations to become more targeted, and higher impact. If you have a background within Asset Management and have worked within Strategy/Commercial/Sales/GTM we would be interested to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Your team is responsible for launching SimCorp offers into the market, this starts with the market segmentation (where to play) and after identifying the target segments, the GTM team will define the right offer and launch campaign (how to win).

Working closely with offer management and the regional sales and delivery teams, the GTM team will help to define the right offer (product composition, overall messaging, competitor positioning, sales collateral, marketing campaigns) to launch a full go-to-market campaign. The overall objective is to enable our sales functions to effectively identify and close deals in the market.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Facilitation of the segmentation of our total addressable market (TAM) for all offers.
  • Drive the identification and prioritisation of key compelling events in the market as well as characteristics of target segments, in alignment with marketing, sales and offer management
  • Owner of the GTM launch process, building winning offers to launch into target priority segments of the market, for both new customers as well as driving upsell/cross sell opportunities
  • Create alignment and targets on the key offers within our existing client business,
  • Alignment of the go-to-market activities across the SimCorp organization to secure that we meet sales targets.
  • Understand the key competitors and how we position our self towards each competitor.
  • Drive sales enablement to establish a more effective sales organisation
  • People Management of a team of ~10 people

The role is a global role and securing alignment on the go-to-market activities across the SimCorp organization is key for success in this role; you need to be a visible leader internally. At the same time your core focus is supporting and driving our sales organisation, and you will be measured on the achieved sales targets.

Your qualifications

  • Experience from a leadership role within sales or commercial strategy
  • Experience with outcome-based selling and identifying key drivers in the market for investments in technology or business services.
  • Strong experience from the Asset Management / Asset Owner industry
  • Experience from one or more software vendors
  • Strong written, presentation and communication skills.
  • Empathic and thrive by working with people, and persuasive with strong influencing skills.
  • Great English communication skills, written as well as spoken, as English is our corporate language.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel up to 20%.
