Why this role is important to us:
Do you have a passion for security, and would you like help maintain and develop an information security programme for a global software company?
This is an existing position within our information security team, which is part of our Group Advisory and Support function. The Information Security team is responsible for governing information security across all Simcorp’s internal systems and global market units in Asia, Europe and North America.
There will be a small amount of travelling days as you may occasionally be required to travel to SimCorp offices abroad.
You will be working in our Security, Compliance and Risk team, which comprises 7 people, who work with security topics across SimCorp. You will be reporting to our Chief Information Security Officer.
The team offers great flexibility regarding planning your own work as well as great development opportunities, professionally as well as personally.
What you will be responsible for:
You will work with all aspects of information security, including:
Selection, implementation and operation of IT security tools
Investigating security incidents reported by security tools and third-party security monitoring
Involvement in IT projects to review security aspects
Implementing and maintaining User Awareness training materials
Developing and maintaining internal security controls and reporting
You should expect a variety of challenging tasks, from involvement in long-term projects to responding to urgent security incidents.
What we value:
To succeed in this job, you most likely have;
A bachelors or masters’ degree in IT or IT Security
Several years of experience with IT security, e.g. as a consultant, or with security operations internally within a larger enterprise.
You understand the technical and IT infrastructure aspects of IT security and keep yourself updated on current cybercrime threats and prevention techniques.
You enjoy working independently and methodically
You must be fluent in spoken and written English
You can communicate with people at all organizational levels and understand their motivations and perspectives.
You thrive in an informal environment and have a good sense of humor.
It will be an advantage if you hold a security certification such as CISSP, GSEC, CEH, OSCP or similar.
