Release Train Engineer

Location: Warsaw, PL

Why this role is important to us   

In SimCorp, we support some of the biggest financial institutions in the world to be successful by simplifying their investments, accounting, and operations. We do this through IT systems, processes, and financial knowledge. 

As a Release Train Engineer, you will be part of the Platform Technology group with colleagues around the world.  

What you will be responsible for   

  • Delivery of complex products & services, and maintaining good momentum in the delivery. You will do this in close collaboration with the Product Manager & Architect. 

  • Filling the gap between the technical and non-technical colleagues and ensuring that everybody is speaking the same language 

  • Coaching and mentoring a team of Scrum Masters who work daily with the delivery teams 

  • Creating an environment where teams and team members can maximize their potential  

  • Coordinating the adaptive planning across several teams, you will be informed by data, will align them all on the same goal, and keep them focused on the incremental release of value. You will communicate plans & forecasts to key stakeholders.  

  • Assisting to identify and remove impediments that slow delivery, especially those outside of your teams.  

  • As a systems thinker who is able to see the bigger picture, you will support bringing this perspective to others to help inform their decisions.

What we value   

  • Significant experience in a similar role 

  • You are an expert practitioner in a variety of agile & lean methods and know which tool or technique to use in which context to achieve maximum impact.  

  • Experience in leading multiple teams - can inspire and motivate people to work towards and meet complex goals. 

  • Support and engage teams to continuously improve their ways of working  

  • You ideally have experience using tools such as Impact Maps & User Story Maps. 

  • Knowledge of XP practices such as Continuous Integration is a plus 

  • Focus on and led quality initiatives
