Senior Business Consultant / Technical Implementation Consultant

SimCorp is an industry leader in Investment Management Software solutions and services to some of the world’s leading Investment Management firms. One of our products, *Coric Engage is our new cloud-native platform for client communications. It will be used by asset managers to deliver financial information to their customers in a more innovative and engaging way, consumed directly in their web browser from all over the world using either phone, tablet or desktop PC’s.

SimCorp has its Advance Delivery Center (ADC) in Warsaw (Poland) and it is building up another delivery center in Manila to support SimCorp implementation projects globally. We are now looking for a Coric Engage Implementation Consultant to be located in the ADC in Manila.

The Technical Implementation Consultant will report to the Data & Communications Service Line Manager in Warsaw. On the business side, you will be fully integrated in the development team located in Europe and India in the first phase. The team will also be responsible for building up the processes for scale. Once the critical mass is achieved, we will separate the support teams from the development team to focus and specialize. In this phase, you will be integrated in the global support processes.

Tech stack / Environment: C#, JavaScript (Angular/Typescript), SQL, Azure or Microsoft Power BI

Key Initiatives

  • Collaboratively integrate the product into the company system for use by existing/new clients through an initial 3-6 months’ onboarding/training with the Consulting Services teams

  • Conduct coordinated support to debug the product through investigation, trace running and in-depth analysis

  • Become a Coric Global Support SME, taking ownership of the product going forward

  • Constantly expand your knowledge of the complex product suite and the clients’ business to ensure that clients get the optimal configuration and workflow

Responsibilities

  • Participate in implementation projects by delivering and customizing the existing solution according to the clients’ needs

  • Work with project managers, stream leads and business consultants to build and deliver the desired solution

  • Provide independent support/debugging by replicating system issues identified during the implementation and propose solutions

  • Conduct program code analysis of problems/questions qualified by business consultants

  • Write testable code, test your own work, review the work of others and provide helpful feedback to your team

  • Communicate internally and externally about current progress status

  • Perform configuration changes and tailored custom solutions for existing and new clients

  • Collaborate and maintain relationships with a multitude of stakeholders from Europe, North America & APAC

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years experience in an Application/Production Support role, supporting both Cloud/web based and desktop solutions

  • Experience in designing and building solutions on cloud-architectures (experience with Azure is preferred)

  • Experience supporting JavaScript *frameworks and web APIs (*Angular, TypeScript etc)

  • Experience supporting C# .NET systems (includes tracing and debugging C# code)

  • Knowledge about and familiarity with approaches such as Agile, Lean, XP and practices including but not limited to Test-Driven Development, Pair Programming, Mob Programming, Specification by Example 

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with solution focused results

  • Able to develop and foster great relationships with a internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar reporting tools would be a plus

  • Financial Services experience would be a plus or readiness to learn the financial domain, i.e. corporate actions, wealth management and financial market instruments, in order to better service the client base
