Senior Data Advisor, Simcorp Dimension Specialist

The SimCorp Datacare Advisory is a team of financial service industry and data management experts with the primary goal of building and operationalizing business know-how as part of SimCorp’s Data Management Service landscape.

Datacare Advisory team is looking to expand the data management capability into your flagship product, SimCorp Dimension. This is an opportunity to play a critical role across the Business Services, Technology and Innovation partners, by contributing to the end-to-end data management offering. This role will report into the head of data advisory

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work with various stakeholders across the Simcorp network, to prioritize and implement data management services into SimCorp Dimension

The responsibilities of the Data Advisor are:

  • SME and knowledge management in areas of Portfolio Management, Trading, Performance & Risk Management, Investment Operations, Investment Accounting or IBOR modules of SimCorp Dimension
  • Contribute to build out a complete front-to-back managed service offering including defining of process controls, SLA, dependency checks, reconciliations etc.
  • Prepare and run advisory sessions on SimCorp Dimension with clients and the SimCorp community
  • Prioritize and sequence the requirements/ product backlog according to business value
  • Bridge between business requirement and technical solutioning
  • Drive and Support change management in terms of data vendor triggered as well as client specific changes.
  • Drive and Support Service rollout and client onboarding
  • Drive and Support end to end operationalization across the operating model layers

Education & Experience

  • 5 or more years’ of experience working in securities/brokerage industry, including a minimum of 3 years extensive experience on SimCorp Dimension platform’s Portfolio Management, Trading, Performance & Risk Management, Investment Operations, Investment Accounting or IBOR modules
  • Expert knowledge of front-office, middle-office and settlement functions
  • Expert knowledge in one or more asset class such as Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives, OTC and Loans
  • Relevant experience in areas of Change Management with data vendor feeds (Bloomberg, IDC, Reuters, etc.)
  • Possess a detailed understanding of data analysis, data modeling and associated methodologies
  • Ability to express complex ideas in simple, practical terms, for a wide range audience
  • Ability to interpret, clean, and manipulate data
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in written material
