Why this role is important to us
As a Senior Oracle Database Automation Engineer in Client Services, you will play a crucial role in servicing and supporting major clients within the global financial sector, specifically in operating their SimCorp applications using our cutting-edge as-a-service solution. Your responsibilities will revolve around the Oracle ecosystem, and you will collaborate with a team committed to configuring and managing the infrastructure setup through Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Additionally, you will have the opportunity to further enhance and automate the solution using industry-leading tools like Ansible and Terraform as Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
What will you be responsible for
Build and maintain Oracle databases automation – deployment and configuration
Build and maintain Oracle databases monitoring
Build and maintain solutions optimizing reliability, performance, and maintainability
Build and maintain cloud infrastructure through Ansible and Terraform as IaC
Implement DR/HA solutions for Azure Services and Oracle databases
Troubleshoot Oracle databases issues and problems
Test databases performance and propose tuning
Together with the team, planning how the team best fulfills products goals, respecting the quality level agreed including the definition of done each sprint
Be part of reviewing platform code and formulating test scenarios
Constantly learning and developing yourself, the team, and our platform
Actively participate in knowledge sharing
Exploring new technologies and evaluating new solutions
What we value
To succeed in this role, we believe that you possess the following qualifications:
Significant expertise in deploying and configuring Oracle products, including Oracle Database, Oracle ASM, Oracle GRID, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
Experience in working with Oracle clusters and configuring Data Guard.
Proficient in Linux system administration.
Basic knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
Readiness to learn how to automate infrastructure provisioning, application deployment and configuration, test execution, monitoring, and scalability.
Advanced English language skills, both written and verbal
Additional skills that would be valued:
Experience with Azure DevOps, including yaml pipelines, repos, artifacts, agents, and environments.
Familiarity with Azure Cloud, including Vnets, Peerings, Nsg, Asg, Firewalls, and Private Links.
Broad knowledge of IT Infrastructure automation in general.
Exposure to Snowflake SaaS.
Proficiency in cloud monitoring, log analytics, and application insights.
