Why this is important to us, 

We are looking for experienced developers to join our Global Support Unit. Global support provides product support to all SimCorp clients which are spread out across the globe. The team provides code and business solutions to problems within our product SimCorp Dimension.  

As a support developer you are part of a global team comprised of +100 members. You will report to the corresponding Support Line Lead. You will be responsible to individually find, assist, work together or even lead your team members to find solid solutions for varying challenges.  

This  roles is bestsuited to seasonedC# Support Developers (desktopnotweb)working in Financial Services for a technology product vendor who wants to work for the clear market leader andwho aspires to become abusiness domain expertwhilst supporting & interacting with business users in the ever-growingAsset Management &Back Officeindustry! 

Initial challenges will be to'get to grips'with a highly sophisticated / complex vendor system & familiarize yourself with the code and learn the business aspect coupled with up-skilling on our clients product suite in theAsset ManagementDomain.  

What you will be responsible for: 

  • DebuggingC# & APL code, coding suitable fixes for crashes and erroneous code. Provide high quality code solutions to fix existing functionality.

  • Work with business consultants and other developers to evaluate and solve customers' issues. 

  • Assist business consultants to answer questions by understanding how the existing code works. 

  • Investigatingsystem performance issuesraised by clients in relation toC# & APL modules& resolving these issues to prevent system failures – also focusing on the broader code, this isNOTa pure C# developer role. 

  • Replicating issuesobserved by clients in internal installations (for debugging/analysis purposes etc).  

  • Dealingdirectly with product support, clientsonsite, via phone, remote connections, etc. 

  • Be an important interface between the Support teams and the Central Product Department. 

  • You will be based in Manila and will be required to work on weekends/Public Holidays from time to time. Working extended hours might also be required on occasion. 

What we value 

  • 3- 5+ years of C#.Net experience including Winforms. 

  • Experience supporting desktop applications 

  • Good understanding of a functional programming language like APL, F# or Haskell would be a distinct advantage. 

  • Knowledge of the .NET framework and object-oriented programming design principles 

  • Proven tracing and debugging skills. 

  • Experience with common debugging tools. 

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills Your competences. 

  • Able and willing to read, understand and analyze complex code. 

  • Curiosity and willingness to gain and apply a broad knowledge in different areas and always learn new things. 

  • Interested and able to work with complex architecture, both front- and back-end. 

  • You are a person who actively seeks collaboration to find optimal solutions, but you are also able to work independently. 

  • Able to work in a time-sensitive setting and manage multiple interests simultaneously. 

  • Knowledge or high interest in financial issues - theoretical as well as practical is a distinct advantage.
