Strategic Finance Consultant

Do you want to be a key player in translating the strategy of finance into operations by driving strategic projects and optimizing finance processes, in a role where you can put your combined finance, strategic and process excellence skills to use? Then you might be our new Strategic Finance Consultant.

The position

We are transforming our Global Finance Organization and we are searching for a candidate to fill a key position in our Strategic Finance Team. The focus of the team is to drive and translate the Finance Strategy into operational improvements by owning and executing on the Finance Transformation Program, while ensuring that our Finance Strategy always is aligned with the Corporate Strategy.

SimCorp has implemented Workday in most of our global entities and are now looking to enhance our finance related processes and get the most value out of our new ERP system.

As our new Strategic Finance Consultant, you will change the ways of working for our Finance teams across the world, using Workday as a driver for developing and implementing best-practice finance processes and enabling operational excellence across all processes anchored in Finance.

This includes using Workday as a leverage for standardization, simplification, centralization, and automation of finance processes as well as ensuring efficient and effective operational processes around the Workday application. You will drive strategic projects with high management attention along with process optimization.

Key responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead and facilitate a varied range of strategic, tactical, and operational initiatives within Finance

  • Develop and implement finance frameworks

  • Together with the team drive development and implementation of best practice finance processes around the Workday Finance application in close cooperation with other Corporate Functions

  • Conduct continuous reviews of finance processes and identify opportunities for improvement with the aim of optimizing processes towards standardization, simplification, centralization, and automation.

Your qualifications

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to be hands on and focus on the details without losing sight of the bigger picture

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, at all levels of an organization

  • Project management experience solving complex issues in a timely manner

  • Experience with business- and finance process optimization

  • Experience from working with functional or corporate strategy

  • At least 3 years work experience within finance, audit or consulting services

  • Fluency in spoken and written English

  • Knowledge of Workday Finance will be a plus but is not required

  • Personal qualities: proactive, fast-learner, high-quality mindset, responsible, holistic, self-driven
