The Product Area and The Team

Valuation and Market Data is a product area under Investment Development Line that is responsible for pricing, key ratios, market data, security API, implementation of majority of the financial engineering calculations, yield and volatility curves, factor attribution, and generic decomposition. This is one of the core areas in SimCorp Dimension® and it is an excellent opportunity to grow into both business side of financial instruments as well as software engineering in a highly skilled, highly diverse, at the same time highly helpful and supportive work environment.

The product area is composed of four scrum teams, and this position is in a team that is composed of five software engineers, located in Copenhagen.  This is an established team that was founded in 2016, and we are looking forward to getting a new colleague onboard.

The Work

  • Quality assurance for our products and services
  • Working with product management and your team to refine new features 
  • Giving feedback on the product through exploratory testing
  • Creating, automating, and maintaining test scenarios
  • Continuously learning, as well as developing yourself, the team, and our product 

The Skills and Experience

The following points would make you a stronger candidate:

  • Curiosity, and attention to details
  • Academic degree, preferably within finance
  • Experience in software testing
    • For new graduates, the desire to learn software testing is sufficient
  • Experience in financial instruments, or the desire to learn
  • Familiarity with (or interest to learn) programming and have desire to grow further
