VP Product Management – Front Office / Investments
Sitting at the intersection between Business and Technology our Product Division develops and delivers a market-leading front-to-back IMS. We are growing rapidly and have an ambitious plan to expand our range of products and services to the buy-side community over the next 5 years. You’ll be at the fore-front of innovation creation and delivery to our global clients.
SimCorp is looking for an ambitious and proven Product Management Vice President to own our Investment Offers. We are not just looking for a senior product manager, but someone who can be truly innovative and create value-adding services to our clients as the industry transforms to “as a Service” business models.
You’ll need to be an expert and thought leader on SimCorp’s target market in terms of buy-side investment management business models and outcomes, competitive landscape and market trends.
You have a deep understanding of both portfolio construction/optimization and trade execution and you know what portfolio managers and traders need to be effective. You also understand the importance of data and insights for making the best investment decisions and also how vendors can enable portfolio managers and traders to focus on their core business instead of spending time on tasks that can be solved with technology or services.
You will use your expertise in this area to create a compelling Offer Vision, Strategy, Value Proposition that will produce truly market leading products and services and you will work with our development, commercial and delivery teams to execute on that vision.
Defines the Front Office / Investment vision and strategy both commercially and functionally
Is accountable for the Success of Front Office / Investment offers, measured by commercial results and client outcome metrics
Is responsible for managing the Frotn Office / Investment offers throughout the entire offer lifecycle from discovery, build, launch to sun-setting
Owns the Front Office / Investment backlog which drives priorities across Product, Standards, Architecture and Services
Has authority to make client commitments and delivering on those
Communicates strategy and direction for Front Office / Investment in a compelling way both internally and externally
Responsible for transforming our Products and Services to “as a service” offers
Works closely with Commercial and Delivery Management and shares success metrics with them
Part of the Global Portfolio Management Team, and thereby also contributing to the overall SimCorp Platform strategy and roadmap
People manager for a team of 6-8 highly skilled and experienced experts
Minimum of 10 years of experience in roles including strategic planning and product management and service delivery
You may have experience as a portfolio manager or trader or from a market leading front office software vendor
You are an expert on both portfolio construction and trade execution and understand how technology can enable better investment decisions and more efficient processes
You may also have experience with service delivery, for example within market data
Excellent communication skills with ability to inspire others
Commercial and result oriented, like to be measured on concrete results
