Meet SimCorp’er Caroline Leclerc
Caroline is a Senior Presales Consultant in Market Support based at SimCorp France. Her role is to support the sales process of SimCorp solutions by performing product demonstrations, answering RFPs and networking with prospective clients. She has been working at SimCorp since September 2014.
What does your job entail?
As a Presales Consultant, it is my job to establish a connection with prospective clients and understand how to meet their specific business needs. I meet with companies who have great and interesting strategies, and it is fascinating to learn how they work, and how we can collaborate to improve their business. It is never routine, because investment managers vary in terms of strategies, investment products and business culture, so every case is different. I think it is very rewarding helping these firms overcome real business challenges with our solution.
What do you think of the work environment at SimCorp?
I think we have a supportive culture that gives you room to grow into new and stimulating jobs. Already in the time I have been here, I have had the opportunity to experience many different roles. It is also an open culture, where my colleagues inspire me and help me to progress. They are always willing to share their experiences. Working for a global company means that I get to travel and work alongside many different cultures, and practice my English in the business world.

How do you view career advancement at SimCorp?
For me personally it has been great. I am engineer in organization and management of information technologies and I started my career in software implementation. However, I quickly saw new opportunities to use my expertise if I moved on to a different business area within SimCorp. As my career ambitions have evolved, SimCorp has been willing to invest in building my knowledge and has given me room to grow. I really appreciate that I have had the opportunity to move quickly between different working environments – from software implementation to presales.
