Virginie O’Shea is a research director with Aite Group, heading up the Institutional Securities & Investments practice and covering data management, collateral management, legal entity onboarding, and post-trade technology. She brings to the firm more than 13 years of experience in tracking financial technology developments in the capital markets sector, with a particular focus on regulatory developments and standards.
Ms. O’Shea has spoken at industry conferences including Sibos, TradeTech, FISD events, and ISIPS, and is actively engaged in a number of post-trade industry standards groups. Most recently, Ms. O’Shea was managing editor of A-Team Group’s flagship publication, A-Team Insight, where she covered financial technology.
Scott Knous
Vice President of Global Data Products, Broadridge
Scott Knous is a Financial Services Data Management industry expert with over 25 years of Data Management experience, including Enterprise Data Strategy & Operating Models, Data Governance, Data Quality, Master Data Management, Data Warehousing, Analytics, and Information Delivery.
He has worked globally, and his expertise covers a cross-section of firm types including Traditional, Alternatives, Hedge Funds, REITs and Insurance companies.
Prior to joining Broadridge, Scott served as Data Management Practice Leader at Olmstead Associates, LLC, Data Management Practice Lead at InvestTech Systems Consulting, Head of Data Management at Liberty Mutual Investments, Director in PwC’s Asset Management Advisory Practice, and Head of Product Management at Omgeo, LLC.
Scott holds a B.A. in Economics and German from Lake Forest College, and a Master Of Science in Finance from McCallum Graduate School of Business.
Duncan Cooper

Duncan has worked within financial services for over 23 years, and has specialised in investment and wealth management for the past 18 years. He is a subject matter expert covering all aspects of the investment management lifecycle with a deep knowledge of operating models, data and technology architectures. Duncan has worked with enterprise data management for 4 years, delivering strategic product design, sales and consulting capabilities for a variety of companies. Previous to joining SimCorp, Duncan held leadership positions in consulting, data vendor and financial software companies.
