The participants get a short general introduction in financial accounting. Asset and liability positions in the balance and the terms debit and credit as well as double-entry bookkeeping are explained. Afterwards general accounting records from the security transaction purchase/selling of equities or bonds, coupons, interest adjustments etc. (immediately, next, none) are created. Subsequently the terms finance fields, SimCorp Dimension accounts, dynamical assignment of accounts etc., which are important for the definition of the financial accounting in SimCorp Dimension, will be explained and the participants set up the configuration for creating accounting records themselves.
