The purpose of the course is to give you a broad understanding of the most common tools for data import to SimCorp Dimension – the Filter Tool Box – and data export from SimCorp Dimension – the Data Extractor. During the course, you will learn how to map and transform data the using in-built functions, translations and formulas. The course also covers the usage of message queues and batch jobs as ways of streamlining the data transport.

The course will emphasize hands-on exercises. However, the underlying processes and concepts are walked-through by the instructor.

After completing this course, you will be able apply the standard functionality to analyze and create interface solutions that meet the most common requirements of data transport.

Hand-on exercises are performed in a dedicated SimCorp Dimension cloud based training installation

Prerequisites:

It is strongly recommended that you have prior experience with SimCorp Dimension and/or data import/export in general. You should be able to navigate the portal, use the online help and have an elementary understanding of a relational database.
