The purpose of this course is to introduce you to the performance solution in SimCorp Dimension. The course covers the setup and maintenance of indexes and benchmarks and gives a basic understanding of the return calculation flow in the performance solution and how performance figures can be displayed and investigated.

The concept of integrated investment processing (or modelling) is introduced from a performance measurement perspective. The course also introduces you to the theoretical background that is necessary to work with the performance solution. In the blended learning course, you will study an online curriculum as preparation for an instructor-led session which is devoted to hands-on exercises.

Topics included:

• Indexes and benchmarks – definitions and return calculations

• The performance measurement workflow

• Integrated investment processing (modeling) in performance measurement – model portfolios, investment structures, strategic asset allocation

• Cash buckets

• Benchmark calculation and portfolio aggregation benchmarks

Elearning:

You will receive access to SimCorp's eLearning platform to study the self-paced course curriculum. Access will be provided at least two weeks prior to the course and will be available for six months after the course to apply the learning.

Time effort to study the eCurriculum is estimated at 8-10 hours to prepare for the classroom sessions.

Instructor-led sessions:

During three virtual classroom sessions, you will perform the course exercises with support and guidance from the course instructor. You will have access to a dedicated training installation to perform the course exercises during the sessions.
