SimCorp appoints Ralf Schmücker as Managing Director for EMEA region

As part of SimCorp’s ongoing efforts to provide optimal support to our clients, we have taken a number of steps to empower our EMEA organization.

As investment managers face increasing demands to review and optimize their operating model, our ability to deeply understand their individual situations and needs is becoming increasingly crucial for us.

Consequently, we have made some changes to our organizational structure and appointed Ralf Schmücker as Managing Director of EMEA.

“Our teams in Sales, Value Advisory (Presales) and Customer Success need to have expertise in not only SimCorp’s solutions and services, but in various segments of our industry. We are therefore focusing even more on the nuances of each customer segment, whether that be an asset manager, an insurance company, a pension fund, etc. and very specifically address the challenges that firms in these segments face,” Schmücker says.

“This allows us to best position the right offer to the right customer and articulate how we can help solve the challenges the customer is trying to address. Customers can expect an even better understanding of their specific business objectives and desired outcomes,” Schmücker continues.

In the new organization, there are teams in Sales, Value Advisory and Customer Success Management covering the various customer segments.

Further, we launched a dedicated team of sales specialists incl. coverage of transformation processes at existing clients.

This allows for knowledge transfer and an outside-in orientation across functions. While doing this, we will maintain the local market proximity allowing us to build strong relationships with customers, prospects, and partners in the various countries.

“As the customer success landscape continues to evolve, the Customer Success Manager role has become increasingly important in acting as a key partner helping our customers achieve their strategic objectives and maximize value from their investment with SimCorp. So, we are further elevating the role of the Customer Success Manager as the key orchestrator for all customer success-related activities – which is very much in line with best practices in the market,” Schmücker underlines.

Ralf Schmücker began his career with SimCorp in 1999. He had various roles in consulting, presale and sales in Europe and North America. From 2012 to 2020, he served as the Managing Director of the DACH region. During Ralf’s tenure, he played a key role in building a strong foundation for driving customer engagement and consistently delivering sales and customer satisfaction.

With a wealth of experience and a proven track record of driving customer engagement, Ralf is ideally suited for the role.
