The Communication Server course introduces participants to SimCorp Dimension’s connectivity tool and its crucial role in enabling data exchange between external systems and the internal transaction flow. Focusing on practical application, this course provides extensive hands-on experience with real-world scenarios. Participants will learn how to automate data import and export processes, integrate the Communication Server into Straight-Through-Processing (STP) workflows, and manage transaction flows efficiently. You will explore the interaction between the Communication Server and SimCorp Dimension’s transaction lifecycle, gaining the skills to design, implement, and troubleshoot integration solutions tailored to complex business requirements.

Key Learning Objectives:

- Implement Automated Data Handling: Learn how to set up a Communication Server solution that autonomously reads and integrates data files into SimCorp Dimension, and exports data based on trigger files. 
- Design Transaction Flows: Create and configure transaction flows that effectively utilize Auxiliary Status Jobs to activate Communication Server processes.
- Master Technical Components: Achieve proficiency in specific port types, scalability options, and advanced SimCorp Dimension gateway commands.

The course is targeted for business users of the Asset Manager as well as Implementation Consultants, and SCD supporters.  

Pre-requisites:
This course is relevant to people with technical and/or reporting backgrounds for automating workflows that require interaction with the outside world. However, as these workflows are often related to the back office/ settlement processing, people in these areas may also benefit from understanding the underlying requirements or possibilities provided by the Communication Server.
